This or That for work in play: two quick option cards on a shared screen

How to play This or That with your team

  1. Pick a deck. The host opens the work deck in a free room and shares the link in your meeting chat.
  2. Choose in secret. Everyone picks A or B on their own phone. Nobody sees a choice until every pick is in.
  3. Predict a friend. Guess what one named player chose for 2 points. Every third round, guess how many people chose A.
  4. Reveal and ask why. The room shows every pick and keeps score. The last round is worth 4 points.

No phones? Read a question aloud, count to three, and everyone points left for A or right for B.

Common questions about This or That

What are good this or that questions for work?

Quick picks about the working day that anyone can answer: “early start or late finish?”, “slides or whiteboard?”, “desk plant or desk photo?”. They get everyone talking in under a minute, and the follow-up “why?” is often the best part.

Are these questions office-safe?

Yes. There is nothing about pay, performance, politics, religion, health or relationships. Every question is about work habits, preferences and imaginary office perks.

How do we play with a remote or hybrid team?

The host opens a free room and shares the link in the meeting chat. Everyone joins on their own phone or computer with a nickname, picks in secret and predicts a teammate, and the room reveals the answers together. Each room holds 2–8 people, so a bigger team can open a few rooms at once.

How long does a game take?

A free six-round game takes about 10 minutes, depending on how much your team chats between rounds. For a two-minute warm-up, just read three this or that questions aloud.

Does everyone need an account or to pay?

No. Guests join with a nickname and never pay. A free game is six scored rounds from any deck. A host’s At Yours Plus adds 12- or 24-round games from all 17 decks, a private game-night series and every deck as print-ready cut-out cards, for US$4.99/month or US$29/year. One host covers everyone in the room; guests never pay. There are no per-person fees.

Can I print these for an in-person meeting?

Yes. The free PDF has 24 cards, half this or that and half would you rather, in A4 and US Letter. With At Yours Plus, the host can print both work decks in full, ready to cut.
