In short

The easiest games to play on Zoom run in a web browser beside the call. Share your screen for a board game such as Top Answers or a trivia round in TV mode, or send a room link so everyone plays Would You Rather, Draw & Guess or Who Said That? on their own phone while Zoom carries the voices. Zoom also offers in-meeting apps and, on paid accounts, built-in quizzes; ours need no Zoom add-on. Every game starts free, and one host’s At Yours Plus covers up to 24 people.

How to run a game alongside a Zoom call

Two ways to play, depending on the game. Neither needs a Zoom app or add-on.

Share a board

For Top Answers and trivia in TV mode.

  1. Open the game in a browser window and create the room.
  2. Select Share Screen in the meeting toolbar, choose that window and tick Share Sound if you want the game’s sounds.
  3. Paste the room link into the chat. Everyone answers on their phone; trivia teams can simply answer aloud.

Everyone on their own phone

For Who Said That?, Would You Rather, Draw & Guess and the other room games.

  1. Start a private room in your browser.
  2. Paste the link into the Zoom chat, or send it before the call.
  3. Everyone joins with a nickname on their phone or in another browser tab. Nobody shares a screen, and Zoom carries the voices.

Zoom Apps and Zoom’s own quizzes

What’s current, as of October 2026.

Zoom Apps open in a side panel from the Apps button in the meeting toolbar. An account admin may need to turn them on or approve an app first, some only work while the meeting host is present, and apps can’t be added from Zoom’s mobile app. To use an app together, invited participants usually install and authorise it too.

Zoom’s built-in quizzes are part of polling, on Pro, Business, Education or Enterprise accounts with polling turned on. A host can create up to 50 quizzes for a meeting, each with up to 50 questions. At Yours works differently: it’s a web link, so nobody installs anything in Zoom.

Free to start. One host covers the call.

Every game here starts free, with no account for anyone. At Yours Plus, at US$4.99/month or US$29/year for the host, opens the longer games, every trivia round, more word packs and prompts, and Top Answers rooms for 24. No per‑person fees. Guests never pay.

Games on Zoom: your questions

What games can you play on Zoom for free?

Browser games that run beside the call: Would You Rather and This or That for a quick start, Draw & Guess and A Little Nonsense for a proper game, and Top Answers or a trivia round in TV mode for a longer one. Each has a free version, and guests join from a link with no account.

How do you share a game on Zoom?

Open the game in a browser window, select Share Screen in the meeting toolbar, choose that window and tick Share Sound if you want the game’s sounds. Then paste the room link into the chat so everyone can answer on their phone.

Do we need a Zoom app or add-on?

No. At Yours runs in a web browser, so there is nothing to add to Zoom. Zoom’s own in-meeting apps are a separate option: some need an admin to turn them on or approve them, and they can’t be added from Zoom’s mobile app.

What are good Zoom games for family?

Would You Rather (family or funny deck), Draw & Guess and a trivia round in TV mode suit mixed ages. Grandparents can join on a tablet, or just answer aloud while you share the trivia screen.

How many people can play?

Room games hold 2–10 people, depending on the game. Top Answers takes up to 8 players free and 24 with the host’s At Yours Plus. For a bigger call, use breakout rooms with a host each, or play trivia on the shared screen in teams.

Is At Yours connected to Zoom?

No. Zoom is a trademark of its owner; At Yours is not affiliated with or endorsed by Zoom.
