Is the Halloween word search scary?
No. The words are things like pumpkin, black cat, cauldron, candy corn and full moon. The art is a smiling jack-o’-lantern and some sleepy bats.
Which version suits which age?
As a rough guide, the kids version suits early readers who can match letters, with an adult nearby; the classic version suits confident readers; the challenge version, with backwards words, suits older children and adults. Choose by reading level rather than age.
Where are the answers?
Page 2 of every printable PDF is the answer key, with each word ringed. Online, the Hint button shows a word’s first letter.
