Before you invite
Check the minimum cast and content note. Decide whether you can host while knowing the solution. Read the whole host guide, including the cancellation plan, before assigning characters.
Give each guest one role
Share only their assigned role sheet. Avoid a shared folder containing every role and the ending. Let guests know they can read statements in their own voice; costumes or acting are optional.
Set up the table
Keep the public evidence in round order. Put later material aside and have spare paper for accusations. For a screen session, use the public round view and keep the host device private.
During each round
Give everyone a turn to contribute a required fact. If someone has to leave, use the public archive statements to keep the mystery solvable. An optional role must not become the only source of a necessary clue.
After the accusation
Invite a theory and the evidence supporting it, then open the explanation. A surprising guess is not as useful as showing how the records fit together. Record any ambiguous clue for revision.
