A card duel with three different decisions
At Lantern Lane, matching suits add a bonus to your card numbers. At Flower Court, different suits add points. At Moon Steps, small numbers become strong cards: a 1 scores 6, while a 6 scores only 1. Pick a stall based on your hand and the cards already on the table.
You place six cards in a round, with at most three at each stall. You cannot cover every stall equally, so sometimes you should concede one to compete for the other two. Each won stall gives one match point; a tie gives neither player a point.
How to play Moon Market
- Choose Juniper, a computer opponent, or a friend sharing your device. Pick one round or a three-round match.
- Tap a card in your hand, then a lit stall. Mouse users can also drag the card. The placement button previews the points it will add.
- Choose one of the three face-up market cards. Your opponent will see which one you take.
- Keep alternating turns until both players have placed six cards. There is no draft after your last card.
- Compare the three stall scores. In a match, carry your stall points into the next round and alternate the starting player.
Play alone or pass the device
Juniper has Gentle and Thoughtful difficulty. The computer uses its own hand and public cards; it does not inspect your hidden hand. In two-person mode, a covered handover screen appears between turns. Give your phone or tablet to the other player before they reveal their hand.
This is a local card game, not an online room. There is no invitation code or synchronized second screen. For separate devices, try Pass the Sketch or Little Lanterns.
What makes another match different?
The 48-card deck is shuffled for each round. Four suits and numbers from 1 to 6 create different hands and market opportunities. Taking a card changes both your choices and the cards available to your opponent. The three scoring rules stay consistent, so you can learn to plan more effectively.
The complete game is free with no account or payment. Your current match saves in this browser when storage is available. Sound is optional, and the game follows your device’s reduced-motion preference. Buttons support keyboard play; dragging is optional.
