How to play four in a row
Choose a column and your piece falls into the lowest empty space. Make a line of four horizontally, vertically or diagonally. Players alternate drops; a full board without a winning line is a draw. The ring and sun markings distinguish both players as well as their colors.
A computer opponent or a friend
Solo play offers Gentle and Thoughtful opponents. Thoughtful looks several moves ahead, so protect against two threats as well as immediate wins. For two people, pass one phone or tablet or share a computer. This game does not connect separate devices or require a room code.
A rematch that feels different
New rounds alternate the starting player. Try another opening, switch opponent difficulty, or use Undo to reconsider your last turn. In solo mode, Undo returns you to your previous decision. Session wins stay in this browser. The whole game is free; there is no paid difficulty or move limit.
Touch and keyboard controls
Tap one of the seven column buttons. With the board focused, use keys 1–7, or left and right arrows followed by Enter or Space. The board can be read as a labeled grid, and a readable flat board appears when 3D rendering is unavailable. Progress saves on this browser when storage is available.
