Two little witches in a purple 3D kitchen: one stirs a cauldron for a Pumpkin Brew while the other stands by a chopping board with a pumpkin on it, under a Pumpkin Brew order ticket

How a brew comes together

Every order ticket shows the bottle, its ingredients and a timer.

  1. Grab

Pick up pumpkins, glow-mushrooms, moon-berries, bat-wing leaves and star sugar from the crates.

  2. Chop

Some ingredients need chopping on a board first. The ticket shows them in a little bowl.

  3. Stir & brew

Add what the ticket asks for, stir, and watch the cauldron change colour.

  4. Pour & serve

Pour into a bottle and serve it at the window. Faster service earns bigger tips.

Rules in a minute

Keep the kitchen moving

  • Serve the tickets before their timers run out. A missed ticket costs 10 points.
  • Each served brew scores 40–50 points, plus a tip of up to 12 for speed.
  • Leave a finished brew too long and it boils over: dump it, then scrub the cauldron before reusing it.
  • Wrong mix? Tip it out and start again. Mistakes cost time, not the game.
  • Recipes change partway through a shift, so keep an eye on new tickets.

Play your way

  • Solo: one cook, with an optional helper bat that fetches ingredients.
  • Two cooks, one device: WASD + E/Q and arrows + Enter/Shift, or split thumb zones on a tablet.
  • Touch: a floating stick and a big context button labelled Pick up, Chop, Stir, Pour or Serve.
  • Pause any time with Esc or the pause button; the game also pauses if you switch away.
  • Reduced-motion settings calm the camera and effects.

Questions before you cook

Is Cauldron Rush free?

Yes, to start. The tutorial and three complete kitchens (Pumpkin Patch Pantry, Conveyor Cellar, Split Counter) are free, with no account needed. All Access adds 3 more kitchens (The Drifting Cauldron, Gusty Window, Midnight Banquet) for $4.99/month or $29/year USD.

How many people can play?

One cook, or two cooks sharing one device: two keyboards’ worth of keys on a computer, or half a tablet screen each. Online play with separate devices is not available yet.

What are the controls?

Cook 1 walks with WASD, uses E (or Space) to pick up, chop, add, stir, pour and serve, and Q to put down or dump. Cook 2 uses the arrow keys, Enter and Shift. On a touchscreen, drag on the left to walk; the big button always shows what it will do next.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes, in portrait or landscape. In portrait the kitchen turns to fit the tall screen; sideways gives your thumbs more room. A tablet is the comfiest way for two players to share one screen.

How long is a game?

Each kitchen is a timed shift of about three minutes, and the tutorial takes a few minutes at your own pace. Stars are saved in this browser.

Is it scary?

No. The ghosts at the window are friendly, the bats are helpful and nothing jumps out. Brews boil over into purple foam, never anything gory.

What if I find it too hard alone?

Switch on the helper bat. It flies to the crates and leaves the next ingredient you need beside the cauldrons. You can also replay any kitchen to raise your stars.

My device has no 3D graphics. Can I still play?

Yes. If WebGL is unavailable, the kitchen is drawn flat instead, with the same rules and controls. You can also switch to the flat view from the pause menu.
